I found some arcade games to play now on the blog. Give me some feedback on them, I will continue to look for games that I can add to the blog. These are just some simple arcade games, something to pass a little time. Enjoy the games and for more games to play now come back often.

Games to Play Now at Alaplaya

One of the newest games to play now is alaplaya. It has four games you can play using anime characters. You can build your own Avatar with points you win playing games on the site. The anime visuals are really good making the game fun to play.

Their games are Audition a dance game, Fantasy Tennis, or adventure. Their website says you can match with players from all over the world in fair competitions, interchange experiences with like-minded players in their forums and find new friends. They have forums, instant messaging, contest, and many other community features.

The games are free unless you want to customize your avatar. Customization can be paid for in the in-game currency ‘Alaplaya Points’, which can be obtained via a central e-Wallet. The games are targeted at the 12 to 29 age group.

Virtual Relality Games to Play Now

While looking for virtual reality games to play now I found one named activeworlds.com. Wow I was pretty impressed, now this is coming from someone who has never seen Second Life. I will be looking at it next so I will be able to compare the two.

OK so I just logged on to Second Life, to tell the truth as much as I have heard about it I was really disappointed. I found Active Worlds to be much more user friendly, I really had a hard time walking around in Second Life. The avatar just did not want to go where I was trying to guide it in Second Life! I did not spend near as much time in Second Life as I did in Active World, maybe because I was instantly followed by another avatar in Second Life, I nearly had to run to get away from it. In Active Worlds I was not bothered unless I spoke to someone else first.

Since I was more impressed Active Worlds today I will share what I found there. There appear to be many worlds at AW, I managed to see about 10 of them. I wanted to wander around a bit to see how the different places looked. There are still a few things I haven't figured out, I saw others flying but could not figure that one out. I also saw others riding jet skis on the water, flying on carpets and small jets etc. I wasn't able to figure any of that out, but I will in time. Compared to Second Life it was very easy to get around the avatar went where guided easily. Below are some screen shots of some of the various worlds in AW. Active Worlds is definitely one of my favorite games to play now!

This is Atlantis had a lot of interesting places there. It had a hall with all kinds of quotes left by people, also the history of Atlantis. There was an aquarium that was semi interesting, all in all a very nice graphics.

This is the Gateway, the main entry point. I did a lot of exploring here, where I saw most of the other people also. There were several teleporters to go to other worlds through. Nice graphics liked some of the other places better though.

The worlds above are Britain on to and Mars on the bottom. I did not spend much time at either one of these. I did visit another world called Blood Clans, it was a separate download to AW. It looks interesting, I will have to spend more time there. At on point I was going into a Sword fighting training area, and was supposed to pick up a sword. I could figure out how to pick it up so gave up on it for time being.

Some of my problems may have been because I did not go to the newbie school. It is hard to tell how to find it, look for a sign in the gateway word that points up a hill and says educational portals. Membership is around $6 per month. I'll post more here as I learn more about AW. I may even try Second Life again!

I will be looking at all kinds of games, virtual reality, role playing, free arcade games, down loadable games, etc. Only the best of what I find will appear here.
